Whilst we understand finding a babysitter can be difficult, we are moving forward with a child free wedding, apart from the ones in the ceremony.
Absolutely! Hotel DuPont is a pet friendly hotel. There is a $100 pet fee you have to pay the hotel, but if you can’t leave them at home or don’t have a sitter, feel free to bring them!
They have valet parking for $40-$50 a night depending on vehicle size.
There’s a bunch of local museums (never been, so can’t say if they’re any good). But there is also the Brandywine Zoo a mile away. Longwood Gardens is a 30 minute car ride away if you fancy a romantic stroll through over 1,000 acres of Botanical Gardens. But if you’d rather a little more excitement there are a ton of bars and restaurants if you head downtown. Another thing to note. Delaware is one of four states to not have any sales tax. So if you’re looking to shop this would be the right place! Christiana Mall is 15 minutes away by car and has a shopping center across the street with all the best stores (Home Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Ulta, DSW).
If you aren’t sick of everyone by Sunday, a bunch of our guests are going to go and stay in Dewey Beach (about an hour from Wilmington) for a few days. Plans are still in progress. But the beach is a great place to go to anyway!
