Don't forget to check your passport expiration date and/or register for one as soon as possible. Passports can take up to 3-4 months to process!

We recommend flying into either the Milan or Florence Airports for cheapest ticket options. From these airports, you'll need to take a train to Monterosso al Mare (about 3 -4 hours from either city, depending on the train connections). Both cities have really great AirBnb options if you'd like to stay overnight. We will be flying into Florence because the city has more charm than Milan and the Florentine steaks are AMAZING.
Train
Florence Train station: Santa Maria Novella You may need to transfer at Pisa or Spezia train stations. Try to find a reservation that only has ONE TRANSFER. Be sure to reserve/print your tickets ahead of flying to Italy and check with the local station staff if you need to VERIFY your ticket prior to boarding the train. This is done by punching your ticket in one of the yellow boxes by the station platforms. Monterosso Station: Monterosso al Mare
Train
Milan Train Station: Milano Centrale You may need to transfer at Pisa or Spezia train stations.
Travel Note
The Cinque Terre has many beautiful hikes / walks. We highly recommend bringing active wear and good boots/thick soled shoes for walking so you can really enjoy everything the area has to offer. The weather in June will be in the 50s at night and 70s during the day, so layers are a good idea! We recommend not over-packing for this trip. The Cinque Terre is cobblestone streets and has some hills, so if you're wheeling around a huge suitcase it's not going to be pleasant experience. If you need to pack a lot, check with your hotel to see if they have a taxi/shuttle service from the train station. There are also lovely beaches in Monterosso, the water may be a little cool still.
Travel Note
Below are Hotel Recommendations based in the Old Town of Monterosso. The Wedding is at the Buranco Vineyard in the Old Town, so these would be the best places to stay for quick access to the venue. That said, Monterosso can be walked in about 20 minutes, so whereever you stay (Old or New Town) will not be a very far walk.

There are local air bnbs that you may be able to book for large or small groups of people. We saw a bunch of options for houses if you'd like to share the costs with other families/friends. Just make sure these bookings are within Monterosso and not in neighboring villages / outside of the town walking distance.
