All of our guests should fly into Portland International Airport. The airport is about an hour from Mount Hood and an hour and twenty minutes from Timberline Lodge.

Best Western Mt. Hood Inn

Best Western Government Camp is the closest hotel to Timberline Lodge. It is nestled just at the base of the mountain where Timberline Lodge is just at the top. This hotel does not allow room-blocks but we do suggest this as an alternative to staying at Timberline Lodge.

Best Western - Welches

Welches is about a 20 minute drive from Timberline Lodge. This is another great alternative, just a bit further than the Best Western Government Camp. Travel Note

Vacation Rentals

Another great option for staying in the area is checking out vacation rentals on Airbnb or VRBO. Please note, when booking, you will want to be sure your calculating the distance to Timberline Lodge. The best area to be in is Government Camp or Mount Hood Village. DO NOT book in Hood River. This is about 45 minutes + away from our venue.
