Comporta is known for its beautiful and pristine beaches. There are a few to enjoy — the main ones are Praia da Comporta, Praia do Pego, Praia da Torre, and Praia do Carvalhal. Praia do Carvalhal is the closest beach to our venue and also has a beach club that is part of the hotel called Sublime Comporta Beach Club. Head down here to relax and grab some food and drinks.
If you’re looking for a bit more activity check out one of the many golf courses in the area or rent a surfboard and head down to the beach.
Book a wine tasting or two and enjoy a variety of Portuguese wine all along the Alentejo region.
A popular activity here is horseback riding. Expert guides from Cavalos na Areia will lead you on a ride through the rice paddies and pine forest that dead ends in the dunes of the beach.
There are several small boutiques to stop by, when in Comporta. Here you’ll find olive oils, tins, wines, and all kinds of pottery, home decor, and clothing.
Head down south where you’ll find this small town full of art, decor, pottery, and incredible architecture.
