The wedding venue, Villa di Ulignano, is right in between Florence (70 min) and Pisa (65 min) in the Tuscan countryside. The Rome airport is 3.5 hrs away. Flying into any airport and renting a car is recommended for the greatest ease of travel and ability to access amenities while in the area. However, we will arrange transportation for all scheduled events so no one needs to drive to those, assuming you stay in the recommended accommodations or nearby. The nearest hill-towns of San Gimignano and Volterra will have the closest restaurants, tourist sites, museums, and amenities.

Borgo della Speranza
This little Borgo is the closest place literally 2 min walk from the pool area. It offers newly renovated bedrooms and apartments plus a wonderful restaurant. The B&B has 4 double bedrooms and 1 single, all with bathrooms. It also has 5 independent apartments with independent entrance, equipped with living room and kitchenette. We have already completely booked this Borgo out to ensure it was available for our wedding dates. If you would like to stay here, please decide your group and contact us with how many in your party you are staying with. We will then place you in an appropriately sized room and arrange payment.

There are also many hotels in nearby Volterra (20 min drive) and San Gimignano (30 min drive). Volterra, the oldest city in Italy originating approximately 3,000 years ago, is a charming city filled with rich history (and home to the Volturi for you Twilight fans). San Gimignano, AKA Town of Fine Towers, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. Definitely worth a visit. Staying in either city is a great option if you would rather be closer to other amenities (cafés, museums, etc) than in the secluded rolling hills of Tuscany. We can arrange transportation from these cities as well.
