We’re tying the knot!

We officially got engaged December 12, 2022. However, about six months prior, Tanner had his mom on speaker phone talking about day-to-day stuff. Unbeknownst to her, I was sitting right across from him when she said, “You have to come over and pick up the ring!” Tanner quickly took her off of speaker while I held back a huge smile. Unless she was talking about some other kind of ring, I now knew that plans were in the works! I didn’t want to spoil the surprise so I didn’t do too much prying and I tried my best to not convince myself that every event or outing we had was going to be “the moment.” The day of our actual engagement was so much better than anything I could have come up with! We took an early morning walk to the water near our house. It was a quiet rainy morning and the beach was empty besides us. He kneeled down and asked me THE question to which I resoundingly replied YES OF COURSE!!! After happy tears, hugging and kissing, Tanner said that we have to hurry home and pack because we are celebrating in Vegas! The first place we ever traveled to together back in 2020 (pre-pandemic). It was perfect and way more than I could have every imagined when I first overheard that conversation.
