Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The Cavalier hotel has a valet service and will park your car in our dedicated parking garages. Gratuity for the Valet team is much appreciated.

Question

How do I communicate my allergies to the couple?

Answer

When you RSVP, please tell us exactly what your allergy consists of. Example: tree nuts, dairy, soy, vegetarian, vegan, gluten, etc. Our dinner reception consists of buffet stations where there is plenty of a variety to accommodate everyone’s needs. When you submit your allergy, we will then discuss with the chef. When you arrive, you will notice the buffet labels will notate your allergy so you are aware you shouldn’t eat that food.

Is it an open bar?

Answer

YES it is, so please refrain from bringing any outside alcohol to the wedding. If you are staying in the hotel, you can bring alcohol but has to stay up in your room. Virginia has ABC laws that we need to obey.

Is there a smoking area?

Answer

Yes, since it is a historic property, there are select smoking areas. One of our smoking areas will be the patio off the Ballroom where the dinner reception will be held. The sunken garden is also the other smoking area.

Are any of the wedding festivities taking place outside?

Answer

No, all festivities are inside the hotel. Coatcheck will be provided.
