Nicole and Rusty’s journey began at a restaurant called Bear Branch Tavern. Rusty was the bar manager, and Nicole was a server during her last semester of grad school. Nicole left the restaurant after starting her career as a Physical Therapist, but the friendship continued and over time, it developed into more.

Nicole and Rusty were on their third annual trip to the Cancun area, which has become a favorite spot for them. Rusty spent all day staking out the perfect location and finally found a cabana overlooking the ocean. Late that night, he got down on one knee. It was the perfect, private moment that Nicole wanted. The next morning, Rusty brought Nicole's parents, who happened to also be vacationing nearby, to the hotel for the most amazing and special day spent celebrating their love.
