How do I get to Lake Canandaigua?

Answer

Canandaigua Lake is an approximately five to six hour drive from Long Island and the Tri-State Area. The best route to take will depend on your starting location but see below for a few suggested routes: 1. NY-17 W / I-86 W to I-390 N 2. I-80 W to I-81 N (through Scranton, PA) For those who prefer to fly, there are a number of short flights (< 90 minutes) from JFK, LGA, and EWR to Rochester Airport (ROC). From there, The Lake House on Canandaigua is a 45 minute drive. The Lake House on Canandaigua provides shuttle service (for up to 14 people) from all nearby airports. When should I arrive for the weekend?

Answer

The wedding weekend festivities officially begin on the evening of Saturday, September 5th at 7pm with our Welcome Party at The Lake House on Canandaigua. Guests should feel free to arrive for the weekend on Friday or Saturday. If you are planning on attending the Boat Cruise on Saturday at 5pm, we encourage you to arrive at your hotel no later than Saturday at 2pm.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal Attire is required on Sunday for the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and the Wedding Reception. Men are encouraged to wear suits and ties. Women should wear floor-length gowns. Smart Casual Attire is encouraged for the Welcome Party on Saturday night. Color, creativity and style are welcomed and encouraged for this waterfront, summer celebration.
