We met back in the summer of 2017 at a Zac Brown Band concert. We were all dancing, having a great time, and out of the blue, a guy came up and took my hands. Next thing I knew, he was swinging me around the dancefloor. It may seem far-fetched, but it really was love at first sight. I was enamored by this guy, and felt instantly so comfortable with him. We left the concert, hand in hand, and the rest is history!
I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to most of you, but our favorite winter-time activity is skiing. Over the years, Nordic skiing became a frequent activity, and we often go out to the Vail Nordic Center with our dog, Blu. One regular winter weekend, Philip suggested we go out for a Nordic ski on Saturday afternoon. As I was getting ready to walk out the door, Philip told me to "do my hair" for our Nordic ski...this was when I became suspicious, as this was VERY out of character. We started skiing, and happened to run into his friend, who was "out taking photos with his wife and dog", and sure enough it was planned for him to be there to capture our special moment. We went over to a beautiful spot, which I learned afterward is called "Wedding Island". He wanted to take a photo with our GoPro, so as he was setting this up, he grabbed my hands and got down on one knee. It was the most surreal moment, and still completely caught me off guard. It was a moment I will never forget, and will treasure forever.
