The Northern Central Railroad (NCR) Trail (also known as the Torrey C Brown Rail Trail) is a 20 mile long trail that starts in Cockeysville, MD and heads north to “end” at the Maryland & Pennsylvania state line in Freeland, MD. The trail parallels the Gunpowder River and is technically incorporated into the Gunpowder Falls State Park. The address here is the start of the trail but there is also a parking lot at Mile 2 (driving directions: take Paper Mill Rd east, make left on Phoenix Rd, and it's on the left just after Carroll Rd.)
