We may be two and a half years apart, but we act like we shared the womb. 'Sissy' is Nicole's sister and built-in best friend--how convenient! Nicole used to copy everything she did when they were younger, just to be more like her. Over time, Nicole learned to celebrate their differences, as well as their many similarities. Nicole and Stephanie share a bond only a fortunate few can comprehend, and for that they are eternally grateful.
Brett
Groomsman
Noah and Brett have been fast friends ever since they realized that they not only went to the same grade school together but literally lived on the same street just a block away. They shared a love of cheese pizza, micro-machines and action figures. The bro-mance more or less evolved over the years when the two went to both middle school and high school together and then later became longstanding roommates in their early "adult" years. To say that this is a friendship to last would be an understatement.
Carin

We always say that we met before we were born, because we have a photo of our moms touching pregnant bellies together. Our families were friends before we came into the picture, so we became family in turn. Carin has been there for every up and down in life, from introducing a nervous Nicole to their Kindergarten class, to our families building their dream homes right next door to each other, to cheering on the Ducks in Autzen.
Jonah

Jonah and Noah started as enemies. Neither of them really know why... something to do with being on opposing teams the first time they played school yard basketball together. Jonah and Noah have always enjoyed that kind of shared history having parents that both went to Lewis and Clark College and settling in NE Portland. One of Noah's longest and most cherished friendships, he was proud to perform Jonah's wedding ceremony to his beautiful wife Molly last summer.
Lauren

Lauren and Nicole met at Freshmen orientation at U of O, and eventually became roommates in the dorms. They became instant friends through a shared love of dance, music, travel and school, and were inseparable throughout college. Lauren and Nicole have seen each other through the most challenging and most beautiful moments in life. Lauren is the type of friend you can spend hours with and never run out of conversation!
Daniel

Daniel is one of Noah's Grant High School family. Having grown up in NE Portland and the pacific Northwest together, Noah and Daniel share a bond that is built off of their appreciations of the great outdoors, music, family and good conversation. Daniel was one of the first in Noah's friend group to pave the way with married life and Noah has called on him more than once on his sage relationship wisdom...
Madeline

Madeline and Nicole met in college, but became really close once they both moved to San Francisco. Countless nights were spent tromping up the hills of SF, grabbing a slice at Golden Boy, and finding any excuse for a dance party. They moved back to Portland around the same time and bought condos next door to each other. Madeline is the kind of friend who will always be there for you, no matter what.
Jay

Jay and Noah go way back with them being in their very first high school play together. Although Noah was immediately jealous as Jay had a ton more lines. This didn't stand in their way though as high school theater and choir brought them closer together. The friendship has held strong as Jay and Noah have shared many a road trip, tent, house and adventure together. We're so happy to have him be part of the big day.
Kelly

Kelly and Nicole met in ballet class in college. They got to talking and found out they were in the same major and both loved music, art, dance, and the outdoors...the recipe for a wonderful friendship. Kelly introduced Nicole to dozens of musicians and they became go-to concert buddies. Their many similarities lead many to assume they are siblings. Kelly will always check in on you, just when you need a friend.
Roarke

Roarke has been many things to Noah other than just a great friend. He's been a room mate, a collaborator, a hotelier (those times when Noah has gone to New York with no place to stay) and a close confidant. Roarke is very affectionately referred to as the "Mayor of Bushwick" by Noah as he will be the consummate host and tour guide for anyone who visits him in his beloved neighborhood. Roarke is a terrific artist and musician and has been a valued connection to Noah's time in New York.
Jenna

Jenna and Nicole have known each other since elementary school, and became close in middle and high school. Jenna's house was theeee spot for Friday night slumber parties, prom photos, and countless days floating on the river. Jenna is always up for an adventure and is the life of the party. She is an eternal optimist and has a way of finding humor in the most trying moments!
Noelle

Noelle has been a continual friend for over 10 years now when her and Noah first met doing indie theater in Portland. They have continued their love for theater together working on countless projects but have also bonded in their adventures in the great outdoors and their commitments to starting families in good ol' Portland-town. We are so excited she could be part of the big day.
Kelsie

Kelsie and Nicole became instant friends when Kels transferred high school Sophomore year. They bonded over a love of dance and adventure. They became roommates in college and spent many an evening dreaming of their futures over a glass of wine. They both moved to San Francisco around the same time and were there for each other when they needed it most. Kels is one of those friends who you can pour your heart out to!
Riley

Riley and Nicole met in elementary school, but became close in middle school when they shared almost every. single. class. Riley's inspiring drive and creativity brought them close, and many a weekend were spent with Nicole starring in one of Riley's film productions. While Riley and Nicole parted ways in college, they remain close friends to this day, visiting each other when they can and hitting the dance floor hard...just wait until the wedding ;)
Tim

Tim and Noah met in college. They were room mates, they did theater together, they were good at finding roof tops to hang out on, they got into a fair amount of trouble and a lot of that hasn't changed. Tim continues to be one of Noah's connections back east and he's proud that their friendship has thrived even 3,000 miles apart. Here's to many more years of friendship.
Sarah

Sarah and Nicole met on Nicole’s birthday—her first one in San Francisco. They found out they not only worked in the same industry, but shared almost everything in common. They were instant friends, and eventually lived around the corner from each other. Morning runs on Baker Beach, concerts and more concerts, and hikes in Marin would bring them close. Always the realest voice in the room, Sarah has been a go-to friend during the most trying moments and we’re so glad she could be here for the best moments too!
Abbi

Noah is so proud to call Abbi is favorite (and only) sister. She has been a constant inspiration for him and her love of both Noah and Nicole has meant so much. She is an amazing artist, writer, photographer and singer and brings joy to everyone that she knows. We are so proud to have her in the wedding!
Michael

Michael started as one of Noah's role models. He's what is known in the theater world as a triple threat. He could act, he could sing, and the ladies loved him. He was the upperclassman that Noah aspired to be in high school. Fast forward 20 years and Noah now holds Michael as one of his best friends. Mike has organized a yearly "dude weekend" trip for the last several years (kicked off by his own Bachelor party) and Noah has always respected how Mike keeps his people close. He's honored to be one of those people and honored to have him standing up at the altar with him.
Josh

We're so lucky to have Noah's brother Josh be our guide through our ceremony. Not only has he been an amazing role model and big brother to Noah, his own marriage and family have been a huge inspiration to both Noah and Nicole. Josh is an ordained Presbyterian minister, and we're lucky to have someone so versed in theology be the officiant for our wedding. We're in good hands!
