Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge
One of our favorite hikes consisting of a 2.4-mile loop trail near Newport, RI. Sachuest Point boasts great views of undeveloped New England shoreline and is worth a visit for those looking to do something outdoors.
Beavertail State Park
Explore Beavertail State Park in Jamestown, RI. This park showcases some of Rhode Islands natural beauty through a variety of hiking trails, alcoves with swimming access, and panoramic views of New England coastline.

Block Island
Block Island is just south of mainland Rhode Island, which you can get to by ferry. The island is home to beautiful beaches, lighthouses, charming shops and restaurants, and stunning coastal views. Sandy beaches include popular Crescent Beach, on the east coast.
Mohegan Bluffs
If you make the trip to Block Island, visit Mohegan Bluffs -- with a beautiful beach at the base of the 200-foot tall clay cliffs that offer one of the most dramatic views of the Atlantic in Rhode Island. You can also visit the Southeast Lighthouse located on the bluffs, which has a small museum and gift shop in the base of the tower.
