It all started when...

“ Hey! What video games are you currently playing?” - Miles, May 2019

It was the first line Miles messaged Nicole via a famous dating app. Though born 7,000+ miles apart and the World Wide Web connecting them in their mid 30s, they noticed a lot of overlapping crossovers in their lives shortly after meeting: - “Neighboring” Catholic High Schools - Similar social circles and acquaintances overlapping over the years before meeting - Their Moms previously meeting each other a few years before (this story is better told in person, we promise!) Unlike prior connections, both sensed immediate chemistry and the feeling of belonging home with each other. Though they were shocked at becoming official three weeks later, neither have looked back since and both are grateful to the path they’re now on. Three years later, after many day trips, surviving a pandemic, and welcoming their playful Frenchie son Jordi into the mix, they’re excited to embark on the next journey surrounded by their closest loved ones on their wedding day.

The Proposal

“ Soooo, I have a question to ask you...” - Miles, February 11th, 2022

[As told by Miles himself with comments from Nicole in parenthesis] It started quite bumpy. I made reservations at our favorite bar, The Roost. We both got dressed up for our upscale date night. Due to a few inconveniences, we made it 15 minutes late to our reservation and were told that our table had been given away. Devastated, we settled to have something to eat at Bawk! Our waitress was amazing. Noticing our distress, She got us a seat and a drink. we ordered some food and decided a spontaneous drive to San Francisco for Bob’s Donuts was the best way to lift our spirits. We decided to stop by our favorite observation spot on Treasure island. With a well lit San Francisco in the background, I decided it was the moment. We walked to the shore, while I snuck the ring in my pocket. When Nicole stepped away to bask in the view, I knelt down waited for her to turn around. With a few seconds delayed from surprise, she said yes.
