Favorite memory with Miguel (so far): Enjoying a leisurely, summer afternoon at Monte Xanic Winery in Valle De Guadalupe outside Ensenada, MX. -fun fact: Nicole had a glass of wine from Monte Xanic during their first date and made a comment about wanting to go there so Miguel made it happen :)

Miguel’s favorite memory with Nicole (so far): - going on his first “tent” camping trip to Palomar Mountain where he almost broke his ankle and a mother walking by with her family decided to use Miguel’s fall as a reminder to her children to look where they were walking! Ha! -sweet note: it was on this trip that Miguel told Nicole he was “never breaking up with” her

Nicole and Tylar met while attending graduate school at Boise State University. They bonded over coffee, course work and going on little adventures! After grad school, Nicole and Tylar kept the party going by being roommates while they navigated being new social workers. One of Nicole’s favorite memories of that time was putting up a full size, 4-person tent in their living room and watching tv from inside it all weekend! Even though they’ve both ended up returning to their home states, Nicole knows she can pick up the phone anytime to call Tylar for support, advice, or just to laugh about life! It’s one of those friendships that knows no distance or time, and for which Nicole is eternally grateful!

One of Miguel’s favorite experiences with his brother Christian was taking a scenic drive to see Mount Fuji on their trip to Japan in March 2023. Miguel, Christian, their younger brother Tony, and a friend spent two weeks enjoying the temples, culture and beautiful landscapes of Japan- one of Miguel’s favorite countries to visit!
