FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Will children be allowed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we would like our wedding to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. However, we do understand that many of our guests are from out of town and understand you may need to bring them. We would like it if children could leave by 730/8, so that the adults can let loose. I will have a list of recommended and available babysitters, please reach out for the information and I will be happy to send it over. We appreciate your understanding and making arrangements ahead of time for the kids, so you can celebrate with us.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Cocktail hour will start at 4pm. Please check out our "Things To Do" page about some local places that you can visit between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Downtown Ft. Myers has a lot of character and history, exploring is highly recommended!

Question

Are you registered any where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered on Zola, Amazon, and Wayfair.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have added some VRBO and AirBnB recommendations and also have a room block at The Luminary Hotel. Please check our travel page for more information.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

There is a parking lot available at the church for the ceremony. There will be valet available at The Heitman House for the reception at no cost.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

Please keep our ceremony camera-free. Though our I Do’s are unplugged, our reception is not. Once our vows are exchanged, you’re free to take a shot! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you use our wedding hashtag #VeryValchine41021 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!”

Question

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?

Answer

Please feel free to contact Nicole or Mike for any questions :)

Question

Will the ceremony be able to be viewed virtually?

Answer

We are still working on options for this, but will keep everyone updated

Question

What are your COVID-19 precautions?

Answer

We are well under capacity at both the church and reception venue to allow for social distancing. The reception will be held outside. Masks and hand sanitizer will be readily available for everyone
