Virginia Gateway
There's tons of places to eat here as well as a bunch of stores and shops. Some of our favorite quick bites to eat are Cava, Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A. If you'd like more of a sit down there's BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse or Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. This is about 20 minutes away from the venue and about 5 minutes or less away from the hotel.
Old Town Alexandria
This is the heart of Old Town Alexandria. There are plenty of restaurants, sights/views, and just all around cuteness. Some of our favorites restaurants are The Wharf, Chadwick's, Blackwall Hitch, and Il Porto. You can also walk down to the water front and take the mount Vernon trail that goes right into DC. Old Town Alexandria is about 45 minutes from the hotel.
Fairfax Town Square
This is Fairfax City town center, a very nice spot that also has many restaurants and shops. One of our favorite restaurants is 21 Great American Bistro and there's many good ice cream shops nearby ! This is about 30 minutes away from the hotel.
Georgetown
DC is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the hotel. We have so many places we love in DC. But anything you see on TV/ tourist attractions are in the North West quadrant. Georgetown is one of my (Nicole) favorite places with amazing food places. Farmers Fishers Bakers has an amazing all you can eat brunch! I recommend making a reservation if you want to go there.
