Some of our favorite movies/shows are The Princess Bride, The Big Bang Theory, and Game of Thrones (minus season 8). We decided to have fun with it and incorporate some references into the reception. If you haven't seen any, (you should, they're great!) don't worry! If you have, we hope you get a kick out of them, just don't come in costume. We can't wait to celebrate and see you all! We met at the Henry Viscardi School, a K-12 Special Ed school when we were in 6th and 7th grade. Even though we were only a grade apart, played on our wheelchair basketball team, and sometimes rode the bus home from school together, we didn’t really talk. After graduating, we saw each other a few times with mutual friends. Matt started an alumni association for HVS which Nicole was very involved in. When a leadership position opened up, Nicole volunteered as a way to get closer to Matt who she had a crush on. We became close friends after that. One day, after spending more time talking to each other than a mutual friend, Matt realized he liked Nicole. We beat around the bush for a few hours on Facebook talking about how complicated relationships are. Matt said their conversation reminded him of Schroedinger's Cat, a reference to the Big Bang Theory TV show we liked and bonded over. Since we were both too nervous to share our feelings, it worked perfectly. On June 16th, 2012, we started dating and fell in love over the next few months. With both of us unable to drive, we had a quasi long distance relationship spending many hours on awful public transportation just to travel 30 miles. (Shout out to Able-Ride!). Once Matt finished grad school, we moved in together adopted our dog Bean a few months later. In May of 2018, with the help of connections he had from the alumni association, Matt sent a letter to CBS asking to attend a taping of The Big Bang Theory to publicly propose to Nicole. We flew to California to see a taping during the final season where Matt proposed in front of the cast, crew, and live studio audience on November 6th, 2018.
