Due to Covid-19 we have had to make the very difficult decision to move forward with our wedding, minimizing our in person guest list, and flipping this into a virtual event. Please know that if you are reading this, you mean SO much to us and we want your presence whether it be in person or via Zoom online. We invite you all to join us on our wedding day via Zoom on the following page. Dress up, dress down, pour yourself a glass of bubbly and celebrate with us from the comfort of your couch. We were only allowed a very small amount of guests for our in person ceremony, so for those who need directions and more info, please see the travel page (in person guests will receive separate notification.) Everyone else, please tune in at 4:00 to see this 10-year relationship tie the knot! We thank you so much for your understanding during this exciting yet very difficult time.
Kyle and Nicole met working together with kids at the Elk River YMCA in Kids Stuff. Nicole was eighteen when they met and kyle was twenty two. It took a few months, but after a while, the two started talking. Kyle however panicked and had to have his friend Tyler Pung investigate and make sure Nicole was at least eighteen. Once kyle got the green light, the rest was history!
Kyle and Nicole started dating Valentines day back in 2011. It was a great day! Kyle planned a candle lit dinner at home for Nicole, complete with a heart shaped cheesecake. (Secretly prepared by his mother, she gets some brownie points here!) That evening, next to a frozen moonlit river, Kyle asked Nicole to be his girlfriend. Fast forward nine years, through many hurdles and life events, Kyle knew he wanted to wait until the “right time.” He did not want the spotlight taken away, or for them to be going through a difficult time as there was illness in Nicole’s family. So he waited, NINE WHOLE YEARS, for the right time. On valentines day 2020 Kyle popped the question in their home, it was perfect. Nicole was in complete shock! So much that she blacked out and actually never heard the words “Will you marry me?” She stood like a deer in headlights until he asked: “Are you ok, and is that a yes?” Of course she said YES! ** Que the waterworks** After a day of celebrating and sharing the news with family and friends, they started to think of dates. At first they jokingly said, “We should just keep the valentines day trend going!” But after some thought, they quickly realized that their ten year anniversary would be on Valentines day 2021. It was perfect. What better day to get married and celebrate than on 10 year anniversary?! **CUE COVID 19** As you can imagine, covid wasn't exactly part of their plan. But nothing can come between these two, not even a pandemic! So if you are reading this, we can’t to celebrate either in person or virtually with you!
