It's Our Turn

11 years in the making

We are overjoyed to welcome you to the beautiful shores of Cabo San Jose as we celebrate one of the most significant moments of our lives—our wedding! Each and every one of you has made a lasting impact on us, and we are incredibly grateful that you’re joining to share in this special occasion. Cabo is a magical place, and we couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting to say “I do” than with the stunning backdrop and the warmth of this incredible location. We hope you’ll enjoy everything this paradise has to offer—from the breathtaking views to the vibrant local culture. Throughout our wedding, we’ll be making memories to last a lifetime, and we are thrilled to have you with us to celebrate, laugh, and dance as we embark on this adventure. Whether you’re soaking up the sun, exploring the local sights, or simply relaxing, we hope you find joy in every moment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our lives and for making the effort to join us here. Your presence truly completes our celebration, and we can’t wait to create unforgettable moments together. Here’s to love, laughter, and a wedding (finally)! With all our love, Nix and KP

Her Side

It’s not often that I remember how I met the people in my life, but with KP, I can recall just about every single detail. It was the summer of my sophomore year at UF when our friend Bhavik invited me over to see his new apartment, which he had recently moved into with his childhood best friend. When I arrived, Kush came out of his room and sat on the opposite end of the couch from me, refusing to make much eye contact or answer any of my questions. I even told Bhavik, “I’m pretty sure your friend doesn’t like me,” ha! Our run-ins became more frequent, and before I knew it, we were hanging out every day: playing board games, watching our favorite shows together, and taking trips to the beach. Within a few months of knowing each other, he easily became my best friend. When we started dating, I remember how nervous I felt treading this fine line between friendship and something more. But after KP told me he would rather we try and know we gave it a shot versus not trying at all, I was convinced. I immediately knew that this was it for me—he was everything I had ever wanted in a partner and more. After five years of navigating long-distance, we finally settled into our first home in LA together. And now, with nine years of dating under our belt, we’re in Louisville, where Dr. KP is working through his residency program, and we’re planning a wedding! Kush is the reason I believe in soulmates. He cares for others in a way I’ve never seen before, makes every day an adventure for us, and always reminds me that no matter what life throws our way, we always have each other. He’s the type of person who thinks if people just hugged more, many problems would disappear. He’s the logic to my impulsiveness, the chef de cuisine in our home, and Bode’s favorite human. I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter in our lives!

His Side

For those interested in how this REALLY happened: It was the summer of 2014, Gainesville, FL, and I was just moving into a new apartment. My roommate Bhavik invited Nicole over to hang out and conveniently went to go take a shower as soon as she got there. The first thing I noticed was her smile - I hadn't seen another that was as captivating as hers. I'll admit, I was super shy (still am a bit to this date, but much less so thanks to Nicole), and even through my shyness she was incredibly funny and wanted to play "21 questions" so we could get to know each other - which, naturally, I wasn't ready for. So yeah, I was quiet. Over the rest of the summer we became friends, and within a year of knowing her, she became my best friend. When Nicole transferred back to LA, it hit me - I couldn't image what life would be like without her and I realized I would always regret not knowing if we could've been more. It's too bad that she had already moved FAR away from me, but the distance was a challenge that we overcame. It's always surprising to think 9 years came and went as quickly as they have - sometimes it feels like we've just started dating, and others times it feels like it's spanned lifetimes (this could be romantic or realistic... but my hair is graying early so I'll leave it to you to decide, ha!). Through everything, we've always come out on top and together. Now, we're in Kentucky and planning a wedding! I'll admit for the both of us that we're confused how we got here, but absolutely love the life we're building. Our time has finally come and we can't wait to celebrate with you all in Mexico!
