Picture this - it's September 2010 at 45 Allston St. in Boston, MA. Nicole is at a house party of a friend of a friend the first weekend back at Boston University. She's sipping jungle juice on a precariously leaning deck while Ke$ha sings about brushing her teeth with a bottle of jack. She heads into the kitchen to refill her cup when she overhears a guy telling someone where to get "wooder" (i.e water in a Philly accent). She zeroes in on the guy and yells "ARE YOU FROM PHILLY" loudly over the next song (Flo Rida - Club Can't Even Handle Me Right Now). The two chatted for a bit about where they were from, what they did over the summer, and the best & worst things about BU (best - late night chicken wraps, worst - winter). Keith got her number and they both thought, "wow, I'll probably never see them again." Little did they know, fate had other plans - they would run into each other the next night at a frat party and the rest is history. Keith and Nicole bonded over an attachment to Philadelphia (Philly sports especially), a shared sense of humor, a love of cats & history class (hence the wedding venue), and an obsession with the same movies (Star Wars prequels), TV (The Wire), and music (MBDTF 4eva). 12+ years later - through long distance while Keith was in San Diego for the navy and multiple moves to Chicago, New York City, & finally back to Philadelphia - they are still on the same page about most pop culture and, especially, each other. They, along with their cats Dez & Q, are looking forward to making their little family official in September 2023 at the Museum of the American Revolution.
