We met over 4 years ago at our friends Autumn and Kyle's house. JP played quoits with Kyle and I met Autumn on our first day of nursing school. It just so happened to be that we were the oldest people at the party , so naturally we connected over that and spent the night playing games and talking. Lord knows how much I love gingers lol and this man is 6'6"! We had a great time that night and he asked me out on a date and planned the whole thing. He picked me up at my house and took me to the Bridge Inn. I said I wanted to eat outside, but as luck had it, the weather was not cooperating LOL. We enjoyed dinner, talking and cheesing the whole night. It had taken some time for us to find our rhythm, but we eventually became a couple, we sold both of our homes and bought a house together in Schuylkill Haven! We have a dog, Combs :) We love to go to Gatlinburg, TN and the last trip there in November, 2024, we got engaged! "10/4" (he has been saying that for years and when we met, he said it all the time to me. When he asked me to be his wife, I knew that October 4 was the day we would become Mr. and Mrs. Evans!)
We had a trip to Gatlinburg planned during November because we enjoy the leaves, fall and Christmastime the town embodies at this time of the year. JP and I have this bridge in Pigeon Forge that is decorated with Christmas lights and we always go there. We even have a lock with our initials and the date on it! Well, we had been out shopping all day and got back to our cabin to only turn right back around and head back to that bridge. His sister was there too (she was the one who captured our moment!) and she was recording me trying to get the lock opened LOL! I failed but was immediately told to turn around to find JP on his knee!!! If you can watch the video, please do! I screamed, cursed, cried, jumped for joy, etc! I never knew how many emotions I could go through in a short amount of time! But of course, I said YES! He definitely surprised me!
