Can I take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Our only ask is that for the ceremony itself cameras and phones be turned off so that you can enjoy the time with us, we have a wonderful professional photographer and videographer who will be capturing the moment for all of us to enjoy. We will be sure to share photos after the wedding!

What’s the bar situation?

Open bar during cocktail hour, then cash bar after that!

When should we arrive at the venue?

Answer

We recommend arriving to the gondola no later than 3:15PM as there is a scenic gondola ride to the top. It takes ~12 minutes to get to the top. If you arrive early there is a Summit Cafe at the top to enjoy. Feel free to come earlier, enjoy a drink and the view. Ceremony begins promptly at 4PM Your gondola ticket is valid from open-close day of the wedding, feel free to head up early to take in the beautiful views. You may ride the gondola as many times as you’d like (just don't lose your tickets!). There is the Summit Cafe for drinks, food, and restrooms at the top.

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outside at the top of Loon Mountain. The Gondola will take guest to the top, from there it is a short walk to the Amphitheater/Ceremony Site. We will have the ceremony outside rain or shine, it will be moved inside if high winds or lightning. It may be slightly cooler at the top of the mountain than at the base reception area. The reception will be at the base of Loon Mountain and indoor. There is an outdoor patio area with a fire pit to enjoy throughout the night.

What is the bar situation?

Open bar is available during cocktail hour, cash bar during reception. Soft drinks, coffee will be offered all night free of charge.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire, but please keep in mind that we will be outside for the ceremony and on top of a mountain for the ceremony! Weather is usually a bit cooler at the top.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We will not have transportation to the venue however at the end of the night guests who need a ride to their local hotel can use the shuttle service we will provide. There is ample parking at the reception site at Loon and you may leave a car overnight if needed. Please note there is no rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) in the area.

Do you have a hotel room block somewhere?

Please see our Accommodations page. We have a room block at Hampton Inn in Lincoln NH and Kancamagus Lodge. The Mountain Club on Loon does not hold room blocks but this is the on-site hotel we recommend for guests who want to be in walking distance
