Maid of Honor
We shared a womb together, and we've been sharing ever since. (Although I tried to persuade her to have a double wedding and she strongly said no, but our bachelorette party is one so I guess that is a compromise.)
Best Man
Best friends since elementary school. We have spent many days arguing each other and many nights playing video games. He's like a brother to me; he invites me and Nicole to crash family events. He's the only one to take on the Sheltowee Trace trail with me- over 300 miles hiking in the middle of a sun/rain storm for three weeks!
Bridesmaid
My oldest and wisest sister is she. She is intelligent, giving, GORGEOUS and a little demanding. However, I am who I am partly because of her.
Groomsman
We met in high school. We have been business partners in the past - renewable energy is the future! He and his wife, Kate, are my favorite legal team duo! We have tackled many outdoor adventures together, and have thus far survived them all!
Bridesmaid
Another sister that has influenced my life. She is goofy, funny, and the life of the party (or so she thinks). She tries to give advice, but we all know how I am with advice. Ha!
Groomsman
We attended high school and college together and have travelled across many seas. We have ambitious plans to share a vacation home in Colombia in the not so distant future.
Matron of Honor
My little cousin/sister who has strong feelings about a lot of things, loves to collect books, and has one of the longest marriages I know for someone so young. How could she not be here to help me celebrate?
Groomsman
I have spent many nights discussing the finer points of Kentucky Basketball and Miami Dolphins Football with this man. He is one of the most positive people I know and has an amazing love for life. He is also the best bartender I know.
Bridesmaid
My BFF Jill...We met as Resident Assistants at North Carolina A&T State University and have been the best of friends since. She tries to guide me to making sound decisions, and I encourage her to stop looking at WebMD. It works for us.
Groomsman
Andrew and I have so many things in common; our love of film keeps conversations going for hours! Andrew is one of the most upstanding guys I know and I am so glad he agreed to be in our wedding!
Bridesmaid
We've been fighting tobacco usage in teens since high school days. Ha! We met at a football game at her high school our senior year. Then we met again on the third floor of our dorm, Scott 6 the first day of Freshmen Orientation at North Carolina A&T State University. She's also my unofficial official general practitioner.
Groomsman
Adam is the life of the party. He has a variety of interests that intrigues me and I can always find myself down that proverbial rabbit hole with him. He keeps me young!
Bridesmaid
We've known each other since we had lingering accents of our previous homes - Desiree is from New York. We met in the second grade and she decided to follow me to Kentucky when she kept seeing job announcements for the University of Kentucky.
Groomsman
Kelvin is Nicole's cousin/nephew. We have bonded over our interests in the business world. I have great respect for the roles he plays within Nicole's family. I can definitely see how much he cares for his family, friends, and business.
Bridesmaid
We met the day of our interviews for our jobs with Kentucky Cooperative Extension. We went through all of our training together and she decided I was cool enough to be her friend! I am glad she did because Thays is an AMAZING person who tries to keep me young, but I often fall asleep on her.
Groomsman
Casey has quickly become a brother-figure to me. We talk about sports, unique foods, and traveling the world. We also bounce ideas off of each other every now and again. He is someone who doesn't hesitate to talk to anyone at all!
