Our story of how we met is pretty simple. We met through work and James kept talking about how he wanted a dog. In October, Nicole ended up getting a dog that her German Shepherd, Zeus, kept going after which made her nervous he would attack the puppy when she wasn’t around. She asked James if he wanted to adopt the puppy, he said he wanted to meet him first. After meeting the dog, he ended up adopting him and the shelter worker texted Nicole saying she should date James. They hung out a couple times and James planned a date for them.

For Nicole’s birthday in December, they planed a trip to New York City. Both of them had super high hopes for the day, but everything that they planned ended up going sideways. They started the trip with going to mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. After that they planed to go to The Top of The Rock observation deck, but the visibility was 0% and a big deal was made out of them having their firearms (mind you they’re allowed to have being in law enforcement). At this point they’re both just feeling over the day. They walk around the City a little bit and try to go ice skating, but it’s all booked. Finally, they go to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, where James proposed to Nicole. That has always been a dream to Nicole and James made them come true.
