Maryland Heights Trailhead
This is the best hike in the area. After you hike check out Harpers Ferry Brewing or stroll around the historical town of Harpers Ferry. If you're strolling we recommend food/drinks on the deck of the Rabbit Hole.
Linganore Winecellars
This winery is one of our favorites, and close by our house. Other wineries/breweries we love near us are Black Ankle, Hidden Hills, Milk House and Stone Silo. Also check out Happy Cow Creamery - we are there every weekend.
Rock Hill Orchard & Woodbourne Creamery
Weather permitting, the end of August starts the pick your own apple season. This orchard is our favorite in the area. Other pick your own farms include Larriland Farms, Butlers Orchard, and Baughers Orchard.
Gettysburg National Military Park
40 minutes north of Frederick is Historic Gettysburg. If you've never been it is worth the trip. Grab food/drinks at Appalachian Brewing Company.
