Jacob and Nicole's story begins in high school where they were participants in the Pine View wind ensemble. Despite being in the same class for ~3 years, it wasn't until Spring of 2018 that their love story began. After going on their band's competition trip to Chicago, they have been inseparable since. Next comes college, where Jacob (a year ahead of Nicole) began classes at the University of Florida just 2 weeks after they began dating. Even though they were living two entirely different lives, one as a freshman in college and the other a senior in high school, they made the distance feel small, finding time for late-night calls, weekend visits, and every little moment in between, quickly realizing that no matter where life took them, they were always better together. After a year of long-distance, Nicole finally moved to Gainesville, where she and Jacob lived 2 blocks away from each other. Although they had been together for a year, there were still so many “firsts” waiting for them. What once were special occasion weekend trips became getting to see each other whenever they wanted, finally getting to experience everyday life side by side. At the same time, they embraced the balance of growing both as individuals and as a couple, building new friendships while always finding their way back to each other at the end of the day. Flash forward to 2023, Jacob was finishing his gap year in Gainesville and Nicole was graduating from her undergraduate program. Along with all the celebration, there were many question marks for the future. Jacob had begun medical school in June at Florida State University while Nicole was home in Sarasota, waiting to know where she would be moving for her Master’s program. Somehow, in true Nicole and Jacob fashion, all the stars aligned and Nicole was accepted to Florida State to begin her program just 1 month later. Before long, they moved into their first apartment together where they finished their time in Tallahassee. That brings us to the most recent chapter of Jacob and Nicole’s story, where they live together in Sarasota — Jacob finishing his 3rd and 4th year of medical school and Nicole working as a speech therapist at Sarasota Memorial. On December 19th, 2025, Jacob proposed to Nicole at Selby Gardens. It only makes sense that they are getting married at Laurel Oak Country club, where they have frequented for the past ~8 years. We are so excited to be celebrating our wedding surrounded by the people who are dearest to us. Each of you has played a meaningful role in our journey. Through different seasons of life, different cities, and so many of the moments that have shaped our long love story. Your love, support, and presence have touched us in ways we will always carry with us, and we are beyond grateful to have you standing beside us as we begin this next chapter together. So come ready to celebrate, dance, and make it a night none of us will fully remember, but all of us will never forget!
