The Long Island Rail Road has trains running daily from New York Penn Station to Montauk.
Flight
Guests traveling into John F. Kennedy Airport can catch the train directly from the airport (Jamaica Station) to Montauk. Visit the Long Island Rail Road website for more information.
Travel Note
The Hampton Jitney Bus has multiple pick up locations in Manhattan and stops directly in the Montauk Town. Guests landing at Laguardia Airport can also access the Hampton Jitney Airport Connection Stop in Queens via a 15 minute taxi/uber ride.

For guests traveling from Massachusetts via car, there is an option to cut across the Long Island Sound via car ferries. Ferry #1: The first ferry is from New London to Orient Point in the North Fork through the Cross Sound Ferry Company (https://www.longislandferry.com/). This ferry requires advanced bookings. Guests have the option of driving directly from Orient Point to Montauk or taking two additional ferries to continue cutting across the Long Island Sound. Ferry #2: Once you are on the North Fork, you will have a 17-minute drive from Orient Point to Greenport to catch the next ferry to Shelter Island through the North Ferry Company (https://northferry.com/). This ferry is $15 one way, +$3 per passenger (cash only) and does not take reservations. Ferry comes every 15 minutes. Ferry #3: Once you arrive in Shelter Island, you will have a 10-minute drive to the southern part of the island to catch the ferry to Sag Harbor via the South Ferry Company (https://www.southferry.com/). This ferry is $15 one way, +$2 per passenger (cash only) and does not take reservations. Ferry comes every 15 minutes. From Sag Harbor, you will drive to Montauk (~40 minutes).
