Nicole and I were both living in downtown Chicago, only a few blocks away from each other. Thanks to social media we started talking and set up a date for drinks on the river. Our conversation was so natural that before we knew it the sun went down, and the waitress brought Nicole a blanket to keep warm. It was amazing how much we had in common, Go Irish! I quickly realized this was more than just another first date.

Every year we spend a day in December getting in the Christmas spirit. This involves going to Millennium Park, Christkindlmarket, window shopping at Macy's and the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights. This year, Jonanthony had a special surprise planned. Typically our day starts out beating the crowds to the Christkindlmarket, but this year was different. Jonanthony directed our Uber driver to go to Millennium Park. Once in the Park we proceeded to the Christmas tree, where Jonanthony handed his phone to a stranger and said "don't stop taking pictures, no matter what." We stood in front of the tree where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It turned out to be our best "Christmas Day" yet.
