Deemed the most beautiful place in California, JTNP is a national treasure. Make sure you’re there at sunset and don’t forget to see the Cholla Cactus Garden, the Ocatilla Orchard and Cap Rock, made famous by Gram Parsons.

The best there is, Pappy & Harriet’s is known for its BBQ and rock and roll.

Pioneertown

Pioneertown was established in 1946 when Dick Curtis shared his dream for a "Living Breathing Movie Set."

Shopping

Right down the hill in Yucca Valley are plenty of locally owned shops for antiques, vintage clothing, vinyl, and more. The End, Acme Home, and Desierto Alto are some of our favorites.

Pioneertown Mountains Preserve

The Pioneertown Mountains Preserve is great for hiking and horse-riding. Trails extend in every direction. Check out the Chemehuevi petroglyphs.

We stopped by this cat lounge/rescue and loved it! Entry fees go to the all-volunteer rescue effort, plus you can play with kittens, cats, and buy local art. Highly recommend if you're a kitty lover!

Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum

The Integratron

It might be closed, so Google it before you go. A sound bath, said to be built on a leyline. Designed by Ufologist George Van Tassel, who claimed the cupola was capable of rejuvenation, anti-gravity and time travel.

World Famous Crochet Museum

Day Trips

Amboy Crater, Salvation Mountain, The Salton Sea, and Palm Springs are all within a few hours drive. The drives are scenic, as you might expect.
