We first met at A&A Kiddy Kollege in 2015, where Gerald’s daughter was a student, and Nicole was the director of the daycare center. For years, our relationship was purely professional—parent and daycare provider—but everything changed in September 2019. From our very first date at Uncle Julio’s, the connection was undeniable. After dinner, we sat in the car and talked for hours, sharing stories and learning how much we had in common. It felt like we had known each other forever. One of the fun things we discovered is that our birthdays are just five days apart in the same year! From that night on, we’ve been inseparable. On July 2, 2020, we took our first trip together to Miami for the Fourth of July holiday. It was an incredible getaway! We spent our days relaxing on the beach, dining on Ocean Drive, and, of course, doing a little shopping. That trip was the first of many adventures, and it cemented our love for making memories together, whether as a couple or with our families. Then came August 13, 2023—a day we’ll never forget. We had planned a family gathering to celebrate Nicole’s daughter’s birthday (August 15) and her upcoming return to college. Little did Nicole know, Gerald had a surprise planned! In front of our family and loved ones, Gerald got down on one knee and asked Nicole to be his wife. It was the easiest “yes” ever, and the start of the next chapter of our lives together.
