“We’re Getting Married!”

Nicole and Gaetano met in a traditional and old school way (online... on a dating app called Hinge). After only a few days of talking, they decided to go on their first date. Nicole suggested the restaurant and even called to make a reservation beforehand. Waiting in a vestibule ( with a stranger off the internet) wasn't exactly Nicole's vibe. Nicole automatically thought Gaetano was a gentleman. He insisted that Nicole sit on the booth side of the restaurant and poured Nicole her (sparkling) water and wine (fancy, huh?). Both of them didn’t eat a single thing on that date. They were so interested in getting to know each other better, that food was not on their minds ( and that says a lot, since they are both HUGE foodies). Nicole ended up drinking 1 too many glasses of wine (2) and completely overshared her life story. Somehow, this did not scare Gaetano away. He was calm and gentle in the most sincere way. They stayed at the restaurant until they essentially got kicked out, almost 6 hours later (yes, they were those people). Gaetano told Nicole he had a great time and even planned to take Nicole on another date the following week. Nicole was thrilled (and starving). She went home to eat a giant bowl of cereal alone in her apartment. Giddy and surprised, Nicole restored her faith that there were good, single people left in the world. For whatever reason, she was lucky enough to finally meet one of them. The rest is history.
