A couple of years ago, It may have been odd telling someone that you met your fiancé through a dating app, but today it has become more and more common. First Meeting: Dawson and I met on the dating app Bumble. Bumble is a swiping dating app, where a match is dependent on if the women engages in a conversation within 24 hours of the match being made. When I first saw Dawson and I's match come up I first thought that I had never seen another man's profile look so family and sci-fi nerd oriented. My second thought was that it was PERFECT! So of course, I started the conversation and within a couple of days of chatting on the app, Dawson decided to ask me on our first date. First Date: At the time of our first date, I was staying in a home in Stillwater with 5 other of my sorority sisters. Of course when I told them about Dawson and I's first date they all made sure I was ready and were as protective as you can imagine. We had these big front windows and a front window in the kitchen and upstairs hallway that every girl seemed to have their own view of Dawson when he pulled up. All I could here from all the girls were "HE'S HEREEEE!". They would not let me go outside until he came to the front door and knocked. All the girls ran down into the front living room as I was opening the door. My face was bright red and as I opened the door, the girls were giggling and I swiftly got out of the house and closed the door. I then had to explain to Dawson that he was being watched and that if he was secretly a murderer that he had 5 other girls watching him very closely. He laughed. I still to this day regret having those words be the first words that I said to Dawson in person. When Dawson asked me to be his girlfriend: October 22nd, 2022, After the football game where OSU beat Texas! When and where he proposed: Myriad Gardens after our 3-year anniversary dinner at Vast on October 22, 2025
