COVID 19 UPDATE

THE WEDDING IS ON

The wedding is on! EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION! The reception venue said they are taking the following measures as precautions: -All event staff will be wearing protective masks, gloves, and will be sanitizing often -The meal service will be plated so guests will not be touching one another’s food -Event staff will be stationed at tables that would normally be self serve (like the pizza bar, dessert table, etc) to limit the contact everyone will have with eachother’s food -Cocktail tables will not be used, to avoid anyone congregating at different areas -Hand passed appetizers will be at manned stations instead of being passed around on a common plate -We will still have a DJ, so if you do not feel comfortable dancing that is okay, the space will be large enough for those who want to keep their distance Also if anyone has any seating requests (like being seated with their household) to limit their contact with other people I am happy to do so, just let me know (email: nicaicher@gmail.com)! All in all we want everyone to feel comfortable! So if you feel comfortable dancing and mingling with everyone, great! If you would like to maintain your distance from people, thats okay too! We just want everyone to be able to join us in a way that they feel comfortable with! Thank you and we hope you can join us, Nicole and Dakotah

Proposal in the Windy City

June 21st 2019

An anniversary trip to Chicago turned into a promise of a lifetime of adventures. We had tickets to see Hugh Jackman in concert and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a touristy outing to see the Skydeck at the Willis Tower. Before we could enter we had to go through security, which meant we had to empty the contents of our purses and pockets. I thought, “no big deal,” and dumped my belongings into a tray. Little did I know, Dakotah was sweating as he was trying to conceal an engagement ring. Lucky for him I decided to walk ahead to hold our place in line as he was checked by security. The ring remained secret throughout our experience at the Skydeck, dinner, and the concert. Just when I thought the night was over Dakotah decided we should make one last stop. We pulled up to a fountain in the middle of a park. The fountain was lit up with a multitude of different colors. We gave our phone to a stranger to take our picture next to this picturesque view. The next thing I knew I was snatching a ring out of a box as Dakotah kneeled down. It was a yes!
