We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Cody and I first spent time at a game night hosted by one of the teachers at our school. We didn't speak much but ended up in the same lunch period. We had lunch together every day for two years before we started dating. I was in my freshman year and Cody in his junior. We ended up with tons of mutual friends and found ourselves at plenty of parties together. It wasn't until Cody had graduated that we really got to know each other. We found ourselves yet again at a party in the summer of 2015. We spent majority of that party talking, dancing, swimming in the rain, and playing tons of Jenga! It wasn't until 4 weeks later we saw each other again; you guessed it at another party. At this particular party we were both avoiding past love interests which again led to plenty of talking, dancing, and swimming but unfortunately no Jenga. It wasn't until I received almost daily snapchats from Cody that I even knew he was romantically interested in an us. I mean it took me almost a full month to flirt back with him. Cody was persistent, but not enough to ask me on a date so I took the lead and made a cheesy movie and ice cream offer Cody just couldn't refuse. I even had free movie tickets my mom so graciously gave me and when we arrived at the theater, I explained to him my mom gave me these so if this doesn't work out at least it was free. Countless dates followed, plenty of family feud watching, pizza nights in, and trips home from PSU. The years since have been filled with a strong balance of countless adventures with family and friends, alongside many hard days' worth of work all the while building the life our dreams together. While it has been 7 years, it is only just the beginning of a beautiful life together and we are so excited to celebrate our unity with those who have helped nourish our love since the beginning.
