Friends are advocates! Our mutual friend from church told Cameron she had someone he should get to know. He introduced himself to me at a church event, and asked me out later that week to get ice cream. Side note: my sister-in-law has always said she pictured the guy I end up with would bring me home on the back of a motorcycle. He asked me at the end of the first date what I thought about motorcycles, and I knew this might go somewhere :)
Cameron loves surprises. He told me when it got to that point to let my sister, Cassi, know what size ring I wore and what styles I liked. I knew things were going really well, but he kept telling me we needed to get through classes before discussing specific plans. I thought he might propose after graduation when we went to visit my family. He planned a special date to celebrate our last day of classes ever at BYU. We ate at a very nice place for dinner, then instead of heading home he surprised me by taking me to the Tulip Festival. It was beautiful. We stopped at a gazebo to take pictures (where I would learn Cassi, and three of his closest friends were hiding). He told me he loved me and knew what he wanted, then got on his knee and asked me to marry him. Yes!!
