As you likely know, Brian and Nicole had a private wedding ceremony on October 7, 2023, and have been enjoying newlywed bliss ever since then. This party is our chance to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who mean so much to us and have supported us in various ways throughout our lives, but we want to do it in a low-key, minimum frills kind of way (because we're a low-key, minimum frills kind of couple). This means that though we'll have the food, drinks, music and fun you might expect at a more traditional wedding reception, we won't be having things like a first dance or a wedding cake or a champagne toast.
The Whetstone Park of Roses Shelterhouse (the building to the right in the above photo) is accessed by Hollenback Road; you'll likely access Hollenback off High Street if you're coming from the north, or Milton Avenue if you're coming from the south. Enter "Park of Roses Shelter House" if you're using Google Maps or "Columbus Park of Roses" if you're using Apple Maps. Keep driving past the tennis courts and around the bend where Hollenback connects with Olentangy Blvd. Parking is plentiful in front of the shelterhouse, and we'll have signs to point you in the right direction!
While eating, drinking and connecting with friends and family may be the perfect night for some of our guests, others may choose to show off their best moves on the dance floor, engage in a little friendly competition against other guests by playing one or more yard games, or contribute to some epic photo opportunities for our crowd-sourced album. There's also a recently-renovated playground as well as the world-renowned Rose Garden to wander through if you're looking for a brief (or permanent) retreat.
We've only included children we're related to and plus ones we're aware of in order to stay within the venue's maximum capacity. We hope you'll still be able to enjoy this child-free/date-free evening with us!
