We are getting married!

Nicole was partying with her extended family at her cousin Emi's apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the end of 2013. Mid-celebration, a saxophone quartet walked in and had the place dancing. Amidst the ruckus, Ayal, a friend of the band, entered the party. Several hours later, few memories were made, but numbers were exchanged, and that's it!

In July 2021, we vacationed to Israel. It was hot and we were sweaty just about the entire time, including when Ayal proposed on a beach in Haifa. As Ayal was about to propose, a woman approached us asking if we could see people drowning out in the Mediterranean. We decided, after the police were called, that what we were seeing were buoys, and while she waited for law enforcement, Ayal asked her to take a video of us with the beautiful sunset in the background. That's how we got a video of the proposal. As we left the beach, the police arrived, and we hope that no one actually drowned during or after special moment.
