How we met

Anthony & Nicole met in April 2019 through their best friend (& Nicole’s MOH), Katie. She was hanging out at Anthony’s house when she invited Nicole over to hang out. Anthony was actually drinking so she wasn’t sure if he would remember her 🤣 A few days later Nicole told Katie that she thought Anthony was cute but due to a friends death she was waiting to say something to him until the appropriate time. Sure enough, she didn’t even need to say anything because they hit it off on their own. They spent one day together and they became inseparable. The night Anthony asked Nicole to be his girlfriend, Nicole had far too much to drink and didn’t remember until it was brought up the next day LOL For the first year and a half that they were dating, they bounced between each others parents houses together. In September of 2020, they moved into their first apartment! In October of 2020, they became dog parents to a golden retriever named Barley (if you know them, you know they LOVE their dogs). In January 2021, Nicole began nursing school while Anthony worked full time and it sure did put their relationship to the test but they came out stronger than ever and Anthony was the BEST supporter through it all. In February 2022, they adopted another golden retriever named Dutchess. (Safe to say their life revolves around being Dog Parents) They enjoy spending time at home relaxing, spending time with friends, and traveling. In a little less than 4 years, they have been to Colorado, Montreal, Chicago, Jersey Shore, Disney, Camping trips, Grand Cayman Islands, Honduras, Belize, Mexico and San Diego together. -THE ENGAGEMENT: When they started to discuss getting engaged, Nicole mentioned that she did not want to get engaged while in nursing school. In August 2022 she completed her BSN and they planned a cruise in September 2022. Anthony put an enormous amount of thought into this proposal. He told majority of her friends months before & designed the ring himself using her mothers and grandmothers diamonds from their engagement rings. Prior to the trip, he did research on places that he was going to propose. He booked a lunch at a restaurant called the Lobster Pot in Grand Cayman Islands where there was a dock with a beautiful view outside of it. The morning of the proposal they went to the beach and swam in the blue water and the whole time the ring was in his backpack. After the beach, it began to rain and he was checking the weather forecast the whole time hoping that the rain would clear. Sure enough, the rain cleared and after lunch, they made their way down to the dock. Anthony walked to the end of the dock and set up his phone secretly in his backpack to get a video. Nicole, on the other hand, was chit chatting with another couple while using her selfie stick to take videos walking down the dock. When she got to the end of the dock, Anthony caught her off guard and popped the question. It was an intimate proposal and they are very excited to spend the rest of their lives together and build their family!!!
