Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have shuttles available running from Kyoto Station to The SODOH.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outside in a temple garden. The following reception dinner will be indoors.

What should I wear?

Answer

For the engagement party, think Garden Attire: sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, linen, summer vibes. For the wedding ceremony and Vegas wedding reception, think Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

How close are the ceremony and reception dinner?

A few minutes' walk! The SODOH runs both locations.

What is weather typically like during this time at the wedding venue?

Answer

Mid-November in Kyoto is usually quite pleasant, crisp autumn weather, featuring clear sunny days and cool evenings. Days are typically mid 60s - 70s, and evenings dropping to 50s.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that our ceremony be unplugged. With such an intimate group, our photographers will be capturing everything — so you can relax, be present, and enjoy the moment with us 🤍
