How do we get there by plane?

Answer

From the US: Direct into Dublin (2 hours from NI) or ... Via a connecting hub like London Heathrow, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, or Manchester into Belfast International Airport *TIP: We like to spend a night or two in Dublin before we fly home to get our Guinness fill and enjoy the city. *

Do we need a car?

Answer

A car makes travel so much easier... just remember that you will be driving on the left and through roundabouts. A car really depends but if you want to explore the Causeway Coast, castles and countryside then it is a solid move.

What should we wear?

Answer

Wear whatever makes you feel fabulous! Keep in mind, when exploring Northern Ireland and Ireland, weather can be moody and unpredictable. Expect some sun, some rain, some wind, some cold and some rainbows. Bring a jacket and sensible shoes for exploring the coast, castles and cobblestones.

Do I need local currency?

Answer

Pubs and shops take credit cards, but its also a good idea to have British Pounds (GBP) on hand for taxis and smaller spots. Keep in mind that Northern Ireland uses GBP (British Pounds), while the Republic of Ireland uses euros.

How do we get from Dublin Airport to Northern Ireland without a car?

Answer

✈️ Arrive Dublin Airport or stay downtown 🚍 Catch Aircoach 705X to Belfast Europa Bus Centre (~2 hrs) 🚆 Walk to Belfast Grand Central (same station complex) 🚆 Take the train to Ballymena (~1 hr) 🚕 Final hop: taxi to The Wool Tower, Broughshane (~10–15 min) Or alternatively: 🚉 Take the Enterprise train at Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central (~2 hrs) Continue on to Ballymena by train (~1 hr) Then taxi to The Wool Tower
