Once I arrive in Rio, how do I make it to the hotel?

We recommend to use Uber as your main transportation. Make sure you only reserve uber “black” for highest security. DO NOT accept Uber rides offer from strangers. Only order from the app and wait for your driver at the designated Uber pick area at the airport. Another option is to take a regular Yellow Taxi Cab (Aerocoop Taxi Comum) located in the arrivals lobby.

Hiking Trails

IMPORTANT - USE BUG SPRAY!! ◦ Pedra da Gávea - very challenging hike. Would recommend booking with a guide. ◦ Pedra Bonita - similar view of pedra da Gávea but only a 30 min hike. Same location for hand gliding. They also have a viewing point if you just want to watch. ◦ Dois irmãos - mountain hike that starts in the favela but the view is worth it. We recommend booking with a guide, you will need a van or motorcycle from the bottom to the start of the trail. Entrance fee may be requested, bring cash. ◦ Pedra de telégrafo - this is the famous one where people take pictures as if they’re hanging off the rock. This trail is far from the city center, we recommend leaving around sunrise, the line gets huge ◦ Hike no Forte do Leme - Duque de Caixas Fort - easy, safe, short trail from leme with view of pão de açúcar and Copacabana beach. Lookout for monkeys!
