Golden Gardens Park
A wonderful place to watch the sunset, check out the closest thing to a beach Seattle offers after the welcome reception at Stoup Brewing.
Olympic Sculpture Park
Part of the Seattle Art Museum, the Olympic Sculpture Park is an all-outdoor exhibit with great views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Check their events calendar for their free outdoor Saturday morning yoga class!
The Center for Wooden Boats
This awesome non-profit runs free public sails around Lake Union every Sunday on wooden sailboats and some small steam boats. Arrive early on Sunday to sign-up in person for your spot throughout the day. This is a great activity, even for groups up to ~12 people.
Chihuly Garden and Glass
If you've never experienced the art of Dale Chihuly, this is the best place to see it. See his work displayed in impressive exhibits and embedded in a garden in the shadow of the Space Needle.
Sky View Observatory - Columbia Center
Skip the Space Needle! Sky View Observatory provides a much better view!
Volunteer Park
This park is host to a botanical conservatory with a wonderful orchid collection, the SAM Asian Art Musuem, and a historic water tower, which Jeremy and Nicole visited on their first date and where Jeremy proposed!
Pike Place Market
Yes, go see the fish throwers, but make sure to check out the shops downstairs! Our favorites include: BLMF Literary Saloon, Old Seattle Paperworks, and Perennial Tea Room. The market also has a beautiful new patio overlooking Elliott Bay, which is a great spot to enjoy a bite. Our favorite market foods include: Daily Dozen, Emmett Watson's Oyster Bar, Piroshky Piroshky, Beecher's Handmade Cheese, and Shug's Soda Fountain and Ice Cream.
Agua Verde Café and Paddle Club
This Mexican spot right on Portage Bay serves excellent margaritas with great happy hour deals. Follow up your meal with a quick kayak trip through the bay - rentals are also available here!
Fremont Brewing Company
If you're into beer and playing with strangers' dogs, this place is for you.
Ophelia's Books
This is a wonderful little used bookstore with a nook to house the children's section, a spiral staircase to the basement level, and bunnies and cats to visit. After visiting this shop, head to the Fremont Vintage Mall across the street or the Sunday Market for a flea market, crafts, and food trucks.
