In New Orleans, a "second line" refers to a lively, spontaneous parade that often follows a brass band or other musical procession, typically associated with social clubs, weddings, or funerals. The "first line" consists of the official parade participants, while the "second line" is made up of those who join in, dancing, clapping, and celebrating along the route. Our second line will be made up of our guests. The second line is an iconic part of the city's culture, known for its joyful, communal spirit and connection to New Orleans' rich music and social traditions. The parade will take place for about 20 minutes. It is a rather slow pace walk in the street. If you would like to participate but feel you may not be able to walk for that amount of time, please contact Nicole or Cedric for other options.
On May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights. If you do not have a REAL ID, you can still fly by presenting a valid unexpired Passport. If you are unable to present either you will not be allowed to fly and will miss our event! The other option would be to drive.
