Alex and Nicole met during freshman year of undergrad at Oregon State University. They were in the same dorm, Sackett Hall, and Nicole happened to be in the room right above Alex. On one of the first days on campus, Nicole was stung right above her eye by a bee. She was allergic and her eye began to immediately swell. Fortunately, she ran into Alex, which was her very first interaction with him. She asked him where the health building was, but unfortunately for her eye, he didn’t know. It wouldn’t be until months later that they realized this was the moment they first met. Soon enough however, Alex and Nicole began watching American Horror Story in the dorms, which then evolved into them going to the cafeteria to share meals, playing gin rummy, working out together, and getting closer by the day. On Friday the 13th of March of their freshman year, they officially began dating.

Sept 2014- Alex and Nicole meet Nov 2014 - Start hanging out March 2015 - Officially start dating June 2017- Nicole graduates July 2017 - Alex leaves for Australia Sept 2017- Nicole starts pharmacy school Dec 2017- Alex returns from Australia June 2018 - Alex graduates June 2018- June 2019 - a year of long distance from Corvallis to Portland March 2020- Covid hits and they quarantine June 2021 - Nicole finishes pharmacy school and starts residency June 2022- Nicole finishes residency August 2022- Alex proposes
