at last

From locking eyes over Giordano's deep dish, hiking from the Dunes to Red Rocks, riding chair lifts in Michigan to the Rockies, swimming in Strawberry hot springs to Waimea falls, fireworks displays over Midwest skies to Magic Kingdom, Netflix laptop dates to family nights with bags of popcorn and an extra set of hands, a first day of school, to a lifetime of laughter and more firsts. We're so excited to stand in front of and with our favorite people, to promise to love and care for each other for the rest of our days.

One of our yearly traditions has been going to see the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights in Chicago as a family. This past year, as we walked up to enter the zoo, Nico suggested taking a different path, and walk down to the pavilion behind the zoo. To Jess's surprise a big group of our family members were hiding and waiting around the corner in the cold. Nico got down on one knee with our daughter next to us and popped the question. The night couldn't have been more perfect and we will remember it forever.
