We will be following the CDC guidelines and recommendations set by the state. We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but as of right now, we feel it is safe to gather outside and celebrate. We will keep you informed if that should change, however, so please continue to check out our website for updates. All of our wedding festivities will be entirely outdoors.
Please RSVP to the kayak tour, backyard pizza party, and wedding by Monday, August 1st so that we can plan accordingly.
The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual. We encourage you to bring layers given that all wedding festivities will be in completely open or partially covered outdoor spaces. When considering which shoes to wear, please note that our venue grounds include grass and gravel. There will be dancing, so please wear shoes that allow you to be comfortable!
Yes, there is free parking at the wedding venue.
There are a lot of nice places for nature walks around Glenview! Our top pics are the Grove, the Beck Lake trails, and the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Take a leap back in time by visiting Wagner Farm. For bowling, bocce, and good food, head to Pinstripes. We also recommend spending some time in Chicago! Our favorite museums are the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Field Museum. If you like animals, we recommend the Shedd Aquarium and Lincoln Park Zoo (free!). For classic Chicago sites, check out Millennium Park (home to the famous "Bean"), walk on the Willis Tower Skydeck, or take a ride on the ferris wheel in Navy Pier.
In Glenview, some favorites are: Dairy Bar (classic family-owned soft-serve ice cream stand), Riobamba Latin Kitchen (delicious traditional Latin American fare), Egg Harbor Cafe (warm, family-friendly cafe), Walker Bros (longtime local old-school breakfast spot), Hackney's on Harms (long-running local chain serving burgers and more), Glenview House (locally sourced American gastropub fare), and Kong Dog (addictive speciality Korean corndogs). Also a ton of great food options in Chicago! We recommend trying a classic Chicago-style hot dog (no ketchup allowed!).
