Our story began on Upward, a Christian dating app. At first, neither of us felt confident it would become anything more than a meaningful, faith-based friendship. But as time went on, our conversations grew deeper, and what started as simple messages turned into a constant connection, we talked every single day for 10 months! In June 2024, after months of building a strong foundation online, we finally met in person for the first time. That moment confirmed everything we had felt over the past months—God had been guiding our steps all along. Over the following year, we went back and forth between Burns Lake, BC, and Seward, Alaska, visiting each other and making countless memories. In March 2025, we even went on a cruise with our families together, which made us feel like we were truly becoming one big family. In May 2025, we embarked on a 4-day drive from Alaska to Canada, and just before we were supposed to leave on our trip down south, Nic finally popped the big question! Liz was completely shocked...and yes, there were many happy tears! The very next day, we set off on our first big 3-week road trip to South Dakota and Colorado, where Liz met all of Nic’s family. Since returning to Canada, we’ve continued to grow our relationship while anxiously awaiting our wedding day. We cannot wait to celebrate our big day surrounded by all of you who have supported and loved us through every step of this journey!
