Temple Square
Temple Square is the physical capital of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Its gardens and buildings are tourist attractions regardless of your religious affiliation. At minimum, you need a photo here to let folks know you've been to the Beehive State.
City Creek
Located next to Temple Square, this shopping mall is also owned by the church. It has the usual shops and pretty fountains. Good for a nice stroll while in Salt Lake City.
Utah Olympic Park
Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the infrastructure still remains complete with many activities.
Park City
Park City hosts the Sundance Film Festival, and is the place where the rich come to play in Utah. It also hosts the Utah Olympic Park - so you can double up on your sightseeing.
Red Iguana
Red Iguana is a notable (and inexpensive) Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake City.
Farmington Station
Farmington Station is a smaller, outdoor mall with attractive strolling outdoor space. It's a favorite for our teenager. She insisted we added this point of interest.
Lagoon Amusement Park
Lagoon is Utah's amusement park.
Thanksgiving Point
Thanksgiving Point is home to acres of beautiful flowers and the wonderful Museum of Natural Curiosity. Even the adults will enjoy the museum. We know some who did :).
Snowbird Resort
You can get closer to the mountains and enjoy fall outdoor activities at Snowbird.
Delicate Arch
This state icon is in Southern Utah and requires 1-2 days for proper travel and viewing from Salt Lake City. However, if you wish to make this trip a vacation, Utah is home to at least four of the United States' national parks. The Delicate Arch is worth the trip, and hike to see it. Simply beautiful.
