Flight
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) This would be the easiest airport to fly into. There is also Oakland International Airport (1.5 hour drive) and San Jose International Airport (2 hour drive).
Travel Note
Getting from SFO to Santa Rosa - Driving takes approximately 1 hour. Airport Shuttle takes approximately 2 hours.
Travel Note
The easiest way to get around the bay area is to drive. There are several rental car companies at SFO. Parking can be very difficult in San Francisco. If you are planning to stay in SF during your visit, I would recommend not having a car during that time (unless there is parking provided at the hotel/Airbnb). Public transportation systems are reliable and easy to navigate. Uber and Lyft are easily available.
Rental Car
Airport Express departs SFO hourly. Airporters depart from the center island transportation zones on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of the International Terminal and Domestic Terminals 1 and 2. Arrival options: Park & Ride Santa Rosa (Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404) Sonoma County Airport (2200 Airport Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403) If you are staying in a hotel or Airbnb in Santa Rosa, recommended stop = Park & RIde Santa Rosa If renting a car from Sonoma County Airport, or staying in Windsor/Healdsburg, recommended stop = Sonoma County Airport
Hotel
Airbnb's in/around Santa Rosa can be limited, so book early! If you are renting a car, you can also stay in surrounding towns (i.e. Windsor, Healdsburg, Petaluma)
